Schedule A Screening

Offsite Hearing Screenings

Pinnacle Hearing also partners with businesses, school districts, municipalities, non-profits, and other organizations to provide employees with access to free hearing screenings at their place of employment.

We also take part in local health fairs (if our schedule allows) to perform hearing screenings as an added offering or attraction. With these offsite hearing screenings, we are able to reach out to more people who may be experiencing hearing loss (or don’t realize that they actually have hearing problems).

Hearing screenings offered at places of employment and local health fairs open new opportunities for people to get a proper hearing diagnosis and get the needed intervention.

What happens during offsite hearing screenings?

An offsite hearing screening typically takes 10 minutes per patient. An audiologist will take a brief case history, perform an otoscopy to visually check for earwax and other blockages, and administer a screener audio on each ear. With this brief diagnostic procedure, we can check if the hearing is normal or detect signs of hearing loss.

If the screening shows signs of the hearing loss, further testing will be performed or recommended to determine the type and extent of hearing loss. We may need to request a quiet room in the employer’s location to be used for further hearing testing.

What are the benefits of offsite hearing screenings?

Employers or organizations who sign up for our offsite hearing screening program will automatically be eligible for the Pinnacle Hearing Health Benefit Plan.
